Citrus fruit, coffee & eating lifestyle

I eat too much pineapple & other citrus fruits and coffee too. Sometimes I go to bed in full stomach. That's bad

Heartburn Cause

Mine was definitely caused by Fosamax, then -- 10 years ago -- it was once a day. I stood up at the kitchen counter reading the daily newspaper for one hour. Unfortunately even with that manufacturer's warning, it burned my esophegoues (sp?). The medication I take that helps is Nexium. Others don't help, and if I don't take it the heartburn is FIERCE! I had to have doctors write to my health plan and convince them to prescribe the medication for 12 months, not the 90-day limit. I realize there could be side effects with Nexium's main ingredient, but the possibility of developing cancer outweighs those side effects.
