From the article: Before you Eat Out
Just as at home, eating certain foods in restaurants can trigger heartburn. Are you able to eat out without heartburn? Perhaps you have learned what to ask for, or what to avoid. You can your tips here, or get tips and ideas from others. Share your tips

Triggers

Mine are: Onions (raw), high amounts of fiber (ex: Fiber One bars on an empty stomach), tight pants, sitting in the same position for an extended period after I eat (i.e. having dinner and then sitting on an airplane for two hours is a killer).

triggers

Firstly I eat before 8 AM as best I could. If I eat after 8, I am sure to get symptoms during the day. Onions cause slight burn. Tomatoes definitely I avoid. Orange Juice is out as well. I've found that if I drink pomegranate juice no matter what I eat, I don't get any heartburn at all. Also don't wear tight pants.

I have cut out meat from my diet for two weeks and have been heartburn free except for when I drank alcohol and coffee - but even then it has been greatly reduced !
