Herbed Pork Tenderloin

If you are avoiding fatty meats because it's a heartburn trigger for you, try pork tenderloin, which is very lean and a great choice for not only a healthy low-fat meal, but also a heartburn-friendly meal. You can get a great tasting dish using a few herbs, without the burn caused by too many spices.

Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped rosemary
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped thyme
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped sage
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • Dash of pepper
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Trim any excess fat from the pork tenderloin
  • Spray pork lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Mix rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley and pepper together, and rub in to the pork tenderloin
  • Place the pork tenderloin in to a shallow roasting pan
  • Roast for 30 minutes to 35 minutes or until the meat thermometer reads 165 degrees and the juices run clear
  • Slice the turkey tenderloin and serve
