Forum Post: Questions about Prevacid and mouth sores

Tuesday August 10, 2004
Atagi asks:
"I have been taking PREVACID for 3 months for Heart Burn and thankfully, it went away. However, I have then formed oral sores and pains right after taking PREVACID. I have talked to doctors about how PREVACID could be the cause of it, but they all say NO, that PREVACID does not cause this. I searched some sites to my surprise found that some other women have gotten mouth sores and pain from PREVACID. Is there anybody that has information about this or know anything about it??"

I have taken Prevacid for about 6 months and have had one really bad mouth sore. Bad enough My dentist sent me to an Oral Surgeon. Thankfully, with medicated mouth wash, it went away.
