An old time favorite, chicken and pasta salad, can still be enjoyed if you are a heartburn sufferer. Using low-fat and fat-free ingredients, it will not trigger heartburn in those who can't eat fatty foods.

Ingredients:
- 8 oz whole wheat rotini pasta, cooked according to directions without added salt or fat
- 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced zucchini
- 2 cup chicken breast, cooked, diced
- 1/2 chopped cucumber
- 1/2 chopped celery
- 1/2 cup low-fat or fat-free salad dressing
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (without pepper)
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 12 romaine lettuce leaves
Preparation:
- Rinse cooked rotini pasta in cold water and set aside
- Steam the carrots and zucchini until just tender
- Rinse in carrots and zucchini in cold water, drain well and set aside
- In a bowl combine cooked diced chicken, chopped cucumber, chopped celery, salad dressing, Italian seasoning, and feta cheese
- Add cooked rotini pasta and cooked vegetables
- Mix well to evenly coat salad ingredients
- Place 3 romaine leaves on each of 4 plates, and and top with chicken pasta salad
