As with any medication, there is a possibility of side effects when taking Prevacid. In many cases, the side effects are minor and will either disappear within a few days or are easily treated. If you have any of the following symptoms, stop taking Prevacid and call your doctor immediately:
- Rash or hives
- Itching
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
