There is a possibility of side effects when taking Dexilant (Kapidex), though in many cases, the side effects are minor and will either disappear within a few days or are easily treated. Unfortunately, there are patients who will have side effects that persist or are severe. Possible side effects of Dexilant are:
- Diarrhea
- Gas
- Stomach pains
- Nausea
- Vomiting
The following symptoms are more serious. If you experience any of these, you should call your doctor immediately.
- Difficulty breathing
- Difficulty swallowing
- Skin rash
- Hives
- Itching
