Pasta Primavera Alfredo

Fat can be a heartburn trigger for some people. This pasta recipe uses fat-free ingredients, making it a safe choice for heartburn sufferers.

  • 12 oz rotini
  • 1 cup fat-free sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fat-free cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp dried basil
  • 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese


  • Cook pasta according to package directions (without added fat or salt), until tender
  • Drain pasta, and place in a large bowl
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, blend together sour cream, cream cheese, and basil
  • With a whisk, stir constantly. Continue to heat until heated through but not bubbling
  • Pour the heated sauce over the pasta, and blend together until pasta is evenly coated
  • Serve with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top
