Turkey Burgers

Burgers are great, whether prepared on an outdoor grill or in an oven grill. For some individuals, the fat content of ground beef can trigger heartburn for them. Eating a low-fat version of a hamburger can be a safe alternative.

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 burger buns

Preparation:

  • In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, rolled oats, egg and Worcestershire sauce
  • Form meat mixture into 6 burgers
  • Place the patties on the grill rack (can also place on an oven grill), and cook for about 6 minutes on each side (longer, if you like the burgers well done)
  • Serve burgers on the buns
