Grilled Pork Chops

I love grilled pork chops, but they used to turn out dry. With the following recipe, the coating helps keep the pork chops moist, and unlike some coatings for pork chops that contain spices and other ingredients that may cause heartburn for some people, this recipe uses bread crumbs and low-fat cheese. If fatty foods trigger your heartburn, less fat means less heartburn.

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 1 inch-thick pork loin or rib chops

Preparation:

  • Preheat barbecue grill or oven grill
  • In a shallow pie plate, combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese
  • Place pork chops in the mixture, and coat the meat with the crumb mixture
  • Place pork chops on to hot grill
  • Cover and cook 25 to 35 minutes or until no longer pink in the center, turning after 15 minutes. Remove from grill and transfer on to a serving platter
