Definition:

NSAIDs stands for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Examples of over-the-counter NSAIDs include aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. These are drugs used often to reduce pain (analgesic) and inflammation (anti-inflammatory). NSAIDS can also help reduce fevers (antipyretic).

For some patients, taking NSAIDs may cause heartburn.
