Welcome to the Heartburn forum!

The forum boards can be a great resource for individuals who suffer from chronic heartburn. Whether you suffer from Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) or one of the other conditions that cause heartburn, such as peptic ulcers, hiatal hernias, gastritis, or gastroparesis, you'll find you're not alone. You can meet other people who suffer from chronic heartburn, exchange ideas on about treatment and lifestyle issues related to heartburn, post your concerns, or help others find an answer to their questions. Just sharing your experiences can help others.

When you enter the Heartburn forum, please feel free to introduce yourself in the "Introduce Yourself" folder. If you want to discuss something other than Heartburn, or if you just want to share a good joke, you can use the "Just For Laughs" folder. If you need to vent about something, or share a gripe or two, the "Sounding Off -- Vents & Gripes" folder is for you.

Forum Rules:

Links to sites concerning heartburn and heartburn-related conditions and complications are okay, but we don't need the latest undocumented miracle cure. These posts will be deleted when I find them.

I prefer to let forum members govern the boards for the most part. I will only intervene if the postings are deliberately misleading and/or abusive.

Visitors of all ages may read your messages, so keeps your postings clean.

No spamming or commercial posts. These are posts that are designed to sell a product or service, or involve anyone in a money-making proposition. These posts will be deleted. However, you may include your URL in your signature and link to your business, if appropriate.

No flaming. To me, this means anything that's rude or nasty.

No personal attacks. You don't have to agree on everything, but you can support your position without attacking others.
