Certain foods can be associated with reflux events, including:
  • Citrus fruits
  • Chocolate
  • Drinks with caffeine
  • Fatty and fried foods
  • Garlic and onions
  • Mint flavorings
  • Spicy foods
  • Tomato-based foods, like spaghetti sauce, chili, and pizza

Other factors that may contribute to heartburn include:
