Dealing with Nighttime Heartburn

Perhaps this has happened to you....you are in bed, almost asleep and suddenly you start feeling this similar burning sensation in your chest and perhaps in your throat. You are getting hit by heartburn. What do you do about it?

There may be a routine you need to go through to get rid of this nighttime heartburn. Or maybe you have learned what you need to do to avoid it altogether. One person found a way.

"I have cut out acidic foods, also alcohol, anything fatty, and milk products, w/ the exception of yogurt. My bed is elevated, I sleep on a wedge, I wait 2-2 1/2 hrs after eating to sleep, and I keep a glass of water on my night table."
