The Different Sides of GERD

Follow me on:

If you suffer from GERD, you are all too familiar with the symptoms. What many individuals don't know, however, is that not all GERD is the same.

Nonerosive Reflux Disease (NERD)
For some patients, GERD can cause erosive esophagitis, a condition that causes inflammation, swelling, or irritation of the esophagus. In recent studies, however, it has been found that less than half of GERD patient suffer from esophagitis. They have what is called nonerosive reflux disease, or NERD.

Refractory Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (Refractory GERD)
The term refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (refractory GERD) describes those patients who continue to have symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux despite standard treatment with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

GERD IS MISDIAGNOSED MOST OF THE TIME

GI Dr.’s told me I had gastritis and GERD for the past 17 years. Said due to stress. Put me on Nexium, aciphex. Said, I need it for life. Or. Fundoplication Surgery.

Went to Wellness clinic after no relief. They immediately diagnose yeast overgrowth due to antibiotics. Treatment: NO sugar, flour, vinegar for one month. Nystatin one month. After two weeks, I feel amazing. I am off of aciphex. I can sleep. I am alive again after 17 freaking years of being misdiagnosed by the brains of modern medicine.

The wellness clinic says most of the GERD, gastritis, irritated bowl syndrome….is really a simple yeast overgrowth due to our widespread use of antibiotics.

Hotzehwc.com…..3 MD’s there and unlike most GI specialists,,,,they know what they are doing.

God Bless

You said you had Nystatin one month, was it the same month that you gave up sugar, flour and vinegar? This interests me. Thanks for the info.
