Do certain foods trigger your heartburn?

Thursday July 24, 2008
There is an ongoing debate among both professionals and patients as to whether specific foods can trigger heartburn. Studies have been done and other studies re-examined, with the conclusion in some circles that there is no evidence to show that any of the dietary restrictions make a difference in whether or not a person suffers from heartburn. Others state that what accounts for most heartburn episodes was the patient being overweight and/or failing to elevate the head and shoulders while sleeping.

Is this the case with you? Please take the poll below and let us know whether food is a heartburn trigger for you, or not. If you would like to share your comments about this issue, you can do so by clicking on the "comments" link below the poll.

I have had serious case of Acid reflux and breathing difficulty. Through the practice of Yoga I have been able to address large part of my condition. I think Yoga can help in understanding the connection between Acid Reflux and Asthama. If you want to know more I can talk about my practices.
