Forum Post: "Shortness of Breath Due to Hiatal Hernia"

Thursday September 20, 2007
"I wanted to know if there are other people like me out there who experience shortness of breath due to their hiatal hernias. i often feel like there is an object lodged where my chest meets the upper part of my stomach and it is hard to get air passed it. I always feel like I'm not taking a full breath. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia in 2004 and at that time it was mild. Over the years my symptoms have gotten worse and today I am sleeping about 3 hrs a night and avoiding any flavorful food. I basically stick to rice cereals which are gluten or wheat free and baked chicken."
