As the mother of three adult children who were diagnosed with autism when they were toddlers, I feel an affinity for other parents with more than one child with this diagnosis. The following is a special story.
Autism Squared
To meet Mary Jo Richardson is to meet a woman with a quiet grace, an easy and gentle laugh, and a philosophical outlook on life. You would never know that the past thirteen years of her life were spent raising four children including twin boys, both with autism. Well, that's not entirely true. After a few minutes of talking, the conversation turns to autism awareness and she shows the passions of her life: Raising her children and making people aware of this condition we call autism. http://autism.about.com/od/copin1/a/autismsquared.htm
