Forum Post: "H. Pylori back? Help!"

"I never get heartburn, but almost daily now (at least 3 times a week) get severe pain in my stomach/intestines... About two years ago, I had an endoscopy, they found nothing visible to explain my pain, but I tested positive for Helicobacter pylori, underwent the heavy antibiotic treatment for it....and my symptoms practically disappeared. They have gradually been coming back over the past year, and now, I am to the point where it is getting debilitating and interfering with my work and school....What I am wondering is, is it likely that my H. pylori is back? I am worried, I know that it is rare for reoccurrence, but I was positive before with these same symptoms....Of course I will be seeing my family doc and a GI specialist, but any thoughts would be appreciated!"
