"I was diagnosed with GERD several years ago. I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) about 4 months ago (though I've had it for years but didn't know what it was). I've talked to a few people who have GERD, and they also have IBS. So, this got me to thinking....does anyone know if any studies have been done that shows a link between GERD and IBS? I do know there are people with GERD and not IBS, and IBS without GERD, but I was surprised by the number of people with both."
